If you had to sum up your life philosophy in one sentence, what would it be?
My life philosophy hasn’t altered much since I was in my mid teens, and it was initially prompted by a teacher of mine who was an exceptional, caring human being. Miss Ruprecht was her name.
I was in great stress at the time, traumatised over something which is now long forgotten.
She firmly took me aside, and told me that I, Carol, was the only one I could ultimately rely on in my life, and so I should toughen up and get on with it , to the best of my ability. Sounds blunt, almost callous, but for some reason I responded to it.
Her comments stuck with me , they were the seeds which prompted my growing attitude , or philosophy of how to live my life. In one sentence:
Be the best version of yourself that you can be, laugh, love, be true to yourself, and be kind to others.
Not easy, but always aspire to this.
