Rewinding

How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?

There are times when I need to just stop. It all gets a bit much , this process of living life to the max. I feel it creeping up on me, this overwhelming sensation of needing to unplug.

Because I am human, because I live in this crazy, convoluted, indescribably mixed up world, it all just gets a bit much sometimes. Most certainly when I’m tired.

So I stop.

I seek out quiet, a sound free space.

I sit, or lie if I can, I close my eyes and attempt to relax. I focus on my breathing, and the detensioning of my neck muscles.

Slowly.

Methodically.

And more often than not, this is enough. This helps me. It works.

And then I’m restored, reinvigorated, I can forge ahead into the next adventure.
